We chose Harbourside B&B because of their location near the ocean and away from central Brisbane. There are only two rooms, but one was a family room which fit our needs perfectly. Everything was fresh, new and clean, and the owners, Rob and Sandy, were very friendly and helpful. They even gave us their old mobile phone they weren't using any more when I mentioned that I needed to purchase a cheap phone for our trip! All I had to do was buy a SIM card for it.
The breakfast was simple but good - cereal, juice, toast, coffee, etc. You can eat inside or outside near the lovely garden. There is a TV and DVD player in the common area and a decent selection of books and games to use. There was also a TV in our room. The neighborhood was also nice - a park directly across the street, a seafood restaurant and take-away a block away, and the Moreton Bay Boat Club which had a 2-for-1 meal deal on Tuesday night as Rob told us. Also nearby is Redcliffe, which has many fun shops and is where the Bee Gees lived and started their musical careers. There is a tribute to them in town.
